Paper & Packaging "Letters of Peace": The way we communicate has changed. We text, post, tweet and email. And along the way, the emotional power of the handwritten word has been lost. To remind people of the power of putting pen to paper, we found five survivors of terrorism and violence and asked them to write letters about forgiveness, love and hope. The letters became the epicenter of our holiday campaign for the Paper and Packaging Board. We ran the letters as full-page ads in the Wall Street Journal. We created a digital hub where people could engage with the letters and videos. We even found a Harvard PHD to talk about the healing power of writing. Most importantly, we reminded the world just how powerful a handwritten letter can be.
